Saint Leo University, located in Pasco County, offers a variety of coeducational liberal arts undergraduate and graduate degrees on its 170-acre campus and through an extensive off-campus program. Dedicated in 1890 as a Benedictine school (making it Florida’s first Catholic college), St. Leo currently serves approximately 8,500 students.
Located in nearby Dade City, Pasco-Hernando Community College offers associate degrees (in the arts and sciences) and technical credit certificates.
Seven other higher-learning institutions are within an hour’s drive of Zephyrhills, including the University of South Florida Tampa, University of Central Florida Orlando, Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Tampa College, and the University of Tampa.
Many non-credit, continuing education classes are offered by local libraries, institutions, organizations and businesses to provide opportunities for the adult student.
