Perry is the county seat of Houston County; known to many as the "Crossroads of Georgia" because of its location in the geographic center of the state. Perry is centrally situated where major state and federal highways intersect. U.S. Highways 41, 129 and Interstate 75 provide ready access to and from the area. Perry’s prime location has both encouraged tourism and been instrumental in making the area convenient for industry. Over 35 motor freight carriers operate in the area, and rail transportation is provided by Norfolk-Southern. Perry-Houston County Airport is a general aviation facility, and Hartsfield International Airport is less than 100 miles to the north. Greyhound Bus routes and limousine services are also available in our community.
