Robins Air Force Base is the largest employer in the Perry area. Perry is home to global manufacturing corporations such as Cagle’s Inc., Frito-Lay, Inc. and Graphic Packaging International, Inc. The Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter is located within our city limits and draws a million visitors to the community annually. In recent years, our industrial base has grown to include several unique smaller businesses as well.

To meet today’s complex business needs, a well-trained, highly motivated workforce is a strong asset of the Perry Area. Nine post-secondary institutions within a 50-mile radius of Houston County provide a readily available source of highly qualified employees. In addition, local high schools place special emphasis on career skills, and Georgia’s QuickStart program works with area industries to customize training programs specific to their needs. Businesses will also find numerous meeting and conference facilities nearby.
