Polk County Healthcare
Continuously providing support for the health and wellness of Polk County residents is the 58-bed Polk Medical Center in Cedartown. Standing as the only hospital in the county, Polk Medical Center is comprised of a 100-person staff, 12 primary care physicians and a host of specialists. The hospital is equipped with a 24-hour Emergency Center and offers a wide spectrum of services including a full-service Diagnostic Department, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical therapy, occupational health and more.
Additional resources for healthcare in and around the county include the Polk County Health Department, Highland Rivers Centers, Redmond Regional Family Care and Internal Medicine centers in Cedartown and near Aragon, the Harbin Clinic in Floyd County and Floyd Medical Urgent Care centers in both Cedartown and Rockmart.
