The area’s top employers include the Polk School District with 1,100 employees, Cedartown’s Hon Company with 800 and Rockmart’s Engineered Fabrics Corporation with 607. Additional employers in the county include Cingular Wireless, Tip Top Inc., Zartic, Inc., Angelica Textile Services, Polk County Government, EBY Brown and Jefferson Southern Corporation.
