One of the best features of Bryan County is the variety of lifestyles it offers. Bryan County was physically divided when the U.S. Army acquired some of its land for what is now Ft. Stewart. Pembroke, the county seat, is to the north, and Richmond Hill is located in the southern part of the county. The county also consists of several communities: Lanier, Blichton, Groveland, Black Creek, Ellabelle and Ft. McAllister to the north, and Keller in the south end, all covering the 441.8 square miles that comprise Bryan County.
