Haystone-Brady is a 420 acre industrial park only six miles from I-85 with rail sites, fiber optics and incentive programs for new and expanding firms.
Current tenants are Caterpillar and North Georgia Technical College. There are also the Meadowbrook and Stephens County industrial parks.
The major employers are Stephens County Hospital, 640; Stephens County School System, 550; Wal-Mart Super Center, 500; Pruitt Corporation, 400; Paterson Pump, 380; Milliken, 301; ITR, 203; Standard Register, 190; Eaton Aeroquip, 160; Habersham Plantation, 150; American Woodmark, 126; and Caterpillar, 115.
In 2008, we were designated as an Entrepreneur Friendly community by completing a six-step program to analyze the entrepreneurial and small business environment, and developing strategies to encourage and support them.
