Medical Excellence

Walton Regional Medical Center, located in Monroe, is a 77-bed acute care hospital facility serving the needs of Walton County residents. Recently affiliated with Health Management Associates, Walton Regional has expanded its services and increased the ease with which patients receive treatment.

The hospital offers acute care, long-term care, diagnostic services, in and outpatient services, a Women’s and Children’s Center, a 24-hour emergency room, and numerous other services for those seeking medical attention. Walton Regional has over 50 physicians who specialize in compassionate and comprehensive medical care. The hospital is also home to a 58-bed nursing home facility. There are plans to build a new hospital in the future.

Walton County Health Department has three locations to serve the healthcare needs of the area. The Department provides care for children and families including wellness care, immunizations and family planning services. The Health Department also manages the Adolescent Center for Educational Services which provides healthcare for local teens.
