graphicThe Mini-Cassia area is located in south central Idaho with the Snake River providing the necessary water resources and the border between the two counties. The area is centrally located in the Northwest, a mid-point between such places as Portland, Oregon and Denver, Colorado. Also cutting through the area near the border of Minidoka and Cassia Counties is Interstate 84 which provides a short two and a half hour trip to Boise, Idaho or Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as connecting travelers to the rest of the country. Other major thoroughfares in the area include Interstate 86, U.S. Highway 30, and state highways 24, 27, 77, and 81.

The county seat of Minidoka County is the city of Rupert; other major towns in the county include Heyburn, Paul, Acequia and Minidoka. Cassia County has its county seat in the city of Burley, and the county includes the towns of Oakley, Almo, Declo, Albion, Elba, and Malta.
