Numerous shopping destinations fill the Addison area, providing residents and visitors with a wealth of options.

A variety of businesses can be found along Addison Road, and along Lake Street, which is the village’s primary commercial artery, lined from one edge of Addison to the other with stores, restaurants and services. Five of the village’s six major shopping centers are located along Lake Street.

One of the larger centers is the 176,000-square-foot Green Meadow Shopping Center, with approximately 60 different merchants and professional services, including a large food and drug chain, and a variety of stores and services.

The Lake Mill Shopping Center, with 100,000 square feet of space, offers a variety of shops, dining and services in 13 facilities, and the 16 facilities in the 76,000-square-foot shopping center across the street include a variety of shops and eating establishments. To the west, additional shopping and services can be found in the Farmwood Plaza. In the Terra Venture Shopping Center at Rohlwing Road and Lake Street, one will find the convenience of a Walmart, a Sam’s, Club, an Office Depot, a Best Buy and dining facilities.

Three regional malls are located nearby—Woodfield mall to the northwest, Stratford Square to the west and Oakbrook Center to the south.

The largest-growing commercial and entertainment area is to the west, including Centennial Plaza and Fox Lake Commons, which is home to a variety of restaurants; healthcare facilities; Marcus Cinema; and a variety of retail shops including jewelers, ice cream and coffee shops, banking facilities, and much more.

In addition, anyone seeking banquet facilities has a choice of several locations to accommodate small to large events, including the Medinah Shrine Center, Alta Villa Banquets, The Empress and the newly-opened Venuti’s.
