
There is always something to do in Addison. Countless events are planned year round, and the area also features a selection of entertainment venues and restaurants.

Addison Community Theatre group has been entertaining audiences with musicals, comedies, dramas and mysteries since 1977. They’ve performed everything from Guys and Dolls to Ten Little Indians and Godspell to A Christmas Carol. The group’s annual Madrigal Dinner is always a sell-out. Addison Community Theatre performances are held at Addison Trail High School.
The Chicago Lyric Opera comes to Addison annually for “Opera in the Neighborhood,” a special activity directed at elementary school students in grades 3-6. Members of the Lyric Opera help school teachers instruct children in the performances they will see. Then the opera stars present operatic scenes after which the children are invited to ask questions.

Summertime concerts in the park are popular among Addison residents. Held each Tuesday evening during summer months, the concerts feature the Addison Community Band, Limited Edition Band, and student bands from the high school and the junior high school. In addition, the annual Community Days fest and parade is a highlight of the summer.
Dining can be as elegant or casual as the mood requires. With a variety of restaurants offering meals that range from fast food to gourmet, nearly every taste is satisfied in Addison.
Several entertainment-related businesses are established in Addison including Dave & Buster’s and the Marcus Cinema.
In addition, proximity to Chicago opens its vast array of museums, theatres, galleries and professional sports to Addison residents.
