Our Mission Statement

The Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry strives to provide:

• The best environment possible to enhance business in the Addison community.
• Educational sessions for business and employee development in a forum for the exchange of business.
• Related ideas and solutions.
• Assistance in the interpretation of and compliance with government regulations.
• A means for meaningful community involvement.

The Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry serves the entire business community—retail, service and industry. No matter how large or small a company may be, we can provide assistance, whether it be through information that we disseminate through our newsletter, Shoptalk, or by our ongoing communications via e-mail and fax. We offer luncheon meetings throughout the year, where guest speakers offer valuable information to the business community such as new legislation or regulations often presented by Legislators and local Elected Officials; up-to-date suggestions on general business practices; updated information on local transportation issues; and much more. Several times during the year, joint meetings with members from other surrounding Chambers allow our members to meet new people in similar industries, or those who might become future customers or sources of materials—reaching across the borders to these business communities.

We also participate in area business-to-business expositions, whereby our members can display and advertise their products and services; assist our members in organizing and advertising their “business after hours/open house” events; and offer our members the opportunity of sending out special advertisements, notices, bulletins or information via our e-mail and fax distribution program.

Our special events throughout the year include our annual Golf Outing, Administrative Professionals Day event, annual Holiday Cocktail Party and other events as planned, all of which offer our members the opportunity to network in a more social atmosphere.

We participate in local community events, which provide opportunities for our members to call attention to their products or services. Through the generous support of our members, each year we host a dinner to recognize the top graduates from our two high schools and make the presentations of annual scholarships and awards.

As we continue to strive to serve the business community of Addison, we encourage all businesses, whether new to the community or a long-time business, who are not members of the Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry to contact us. We cordially invite you to visit our Web site, www.addisonchamber.org, and welcome an opportunity to introduce ourselves to you, and hopefully have the opportunity of serving you as a member in the future.

Please feel free to contact us. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
