Addison is alive and flourishing, and when looking for a village in which to live, work and do business, you couldn’t choose one better than Addison in terms of overall advantages.

This is a community that offers a one-of-a-kind living environment. Homes within the village range from affordable starter homes to more expensive luxury models. Because of this commitment to diversity, many third- and fourth-generation residents can be found within the community.

Lake Street: Beautification of this main thoroughfare over the past decade has transformed the heart of our community into something that we are proud of, and which draws patrons from throughout DuPage County.

In addition to shopping opportunities at Green Meadows Shopping Center, Centennial Plaza and Lake Addison Plaza, Addison now boasts a flourishing Entertainment Corridor that competes with other communities with large shopping malls. Branching out from the cornerstone of Marcus Cinema, one of Chicagoland’s largest multiplexes, patrons can enjoy Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Complex and Restaurant; Laser X laser tag; Chicago Indoor Racing; and a mouthwatering row of restaurants that include ZaZa’s, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que and LaHacienda, to name just a few. As home to the fourth-largest industrial community in the State of Illinois, and the largest in DuPage County, as well as a wide range of business entities from home-based to large-scale corporate home offices and distribution centers, Addison offers many employment opportunities and resources.

For local events, community theater, family festivals and concerts in the park are year-round advantages to living in Addison! For outdoor recreation, the family aquatic center, golf dome and four golf courses can’t be beat—including the Park District’s newly refurbished Links & Tees nine-hole executive course. The Village’s proximity to I-290 and I-355 enable convenient trips into Chicago to visit museums, symphonies and the latest Broadway road shows.

Addison boasts excellent schools, both public and private, and is also host to DeVry University, Technology Center of DuPage and a satellite campus of the College of DuPage.

Despite being the home to more than 36,000 people, Addison exhibits a small-town feel that is rare in bustling DuPage County. This is accomplished largely through constant interaction between residents and the various governmental agencies in town. Through cable television, town meetings, neighborhood coffees, and online forums via the village Web site (www.AddisonAdvantage.org), residents know their elected officials as well as they know their neighbors.
