The dense and growing Albany Park neighborhood has long been a gateway
for waves of hard-working newcomers to Chicago. Currently, its main streets
teem with Korean import wholesalers, storefront Mexican restaurants, Middle
Eastern bakeries, and churches serving cultures from at least four continents.
Bungalows, cottages, and small apartment buildings line its side streets.
The neighborhoods diversity and affordability continue to attract
residents. Albany Parks population has grown more than 25 percent
since 1980.
