An extensive amount of rehabilitation and upgrading to existing apartment buildings is giving the community of Albany Park a new look. Bounded by Pulaski Road, Kedzie Avenue, Foster Avenue and Montrose Avenue, Albany Park is a quiet, tree-lined community with affordable rents and housing, which is mostly multi-family. Shopping is available along Lawrence Avenue and there are nine parks and playgrounds, along with two dozen churches positioned throughout the area. The Chicago Public Library's Albany Park Branch is located on Kimball Avenue.
