Bring it Home to Barrington

Natalie Viohl

Barrington is a great place to live and grow up in, but what happens when a person does grow up? Many find life takes them far from the home they once knew. Natalie Viohl decided that Barrington was the only place to come back to live and to make her dream come to life. She envisioned a fashion boutique for men and women with the latest and best styles available. Bringing NV Clothing to Barrington was her way to give back to the community she grew up in by creating a shop designed for her neighbors. Her goal is to bring style and simplicity into everyone’s lifestyle. Whether you are looking for perfect-fitting denim or luxurious business attire, Natalie wanted a shop that would suit every personality. If she does not have what you want, just tell her. She is very easy to talk with.

Barrington Magazine: How long have you lived in the Barrington area?

NV: 22 years.

BM: I understand you where a local student. Where did you go to school and what did you study?

NV: After I graduated from BHS in 1997, I went to Purdue University. I majored in Elementary Education, actually!

BM: Why come back to Barrington? What is here that you could not find somewhere else?

NV: Growing up in Barrington, I wondered why there wasn’t a shop like mine in town. My husband and I heard of new retail space going in and we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I loved teaching, but my heart was more into opening my own business with my husband.

BM: Can you tell me a little about your business? What type of products and service do you offer?

NV: We are a men and women’s clothing store. We have a lot of denim and the goodies to go along. Brands like Hudson, 7 For All Mankind, Serfontaine, True Religion, Ella Moss, Sweetees, Hazel and Susana Monaco make our store great for any age.

BM: Tell me a little something about Barrington customers and their needs.

NV: I think they enjoy pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful sales people.

BM: Is there anything else you would like to say about what life in Barrington is like?

NV: I am impressed with how this town is being “built up.” It is nice that more businesses and restaurants are opening up, giving people more to do and enjoy.
