
Batavia Location and Transportation
Located 35 miles west of downtown Chicago, Batavia provides convenient access to big-city attractions while preserving a small-town atmosphere. Nearby Interstate 88 runs east and west providing easy access to Chicago and surrounding communities. Routes 38 and 64 are alternative routes.
Wilson Street is the main east/west thoroughfare through town and over the Fox River. Route 25 runs north/south along the east bank. If you get lost, just stop in town and ask directions – we’re more than happy to help!
Commuter trains are easily accessible for residents working in Chicago. Geneva (Batavia’s neighbor to the north) and Aurora (its neighbor to the south) offer full schedules of Metra commuter trains. PACE bus service offers convenient transportation between Batavia and neighboring cities in the Fox Valley. O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport are an easy drive.
Several limousine services are readily available in the Batavia area. Door-to-door Dial-A-Ride service provides transportation for senior citizens and those with disabilities. DuPage County Airport (in West Chicago) and Aurora Municipal Airport provide services for corporate and private aircrafts.
