Founded in 1893, Aurora University is comprised of two campuses: a campus of 27 acres in Aurora, Illinois, and the 241-acre George Williams College of Aurora University campus on Lake Geneva in Williams Bay, Wisconsin.

Aurora University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association to award degrees at the baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral levels. The institution enrolls approximately 4,000 degree-seeking students a year on its Illinois and Wisconsin campuses. In addition to degree programs, the university offers a number of programs and services for area community members.

Aurora University believes that the educational needs of its students are best served through the formation of partnerships with institutions of like vision, mission and values. Such collaborations also enhance the well-being of the surrounding communities.

Drawing upon rich legacies and distinctive traditions, Aurora University is growing to meet the future needs of its students and the communities it serves through the Aurora University and George Williams College campuses. Creating a vision for the future has led the way to transform the university into the AU of tomorrow.

Waubonsee Community College is a two-year institution of higher learning, which has provided educational programs and services to almost a quarter of a million students since its founding in 1966. At Waubonsee, we are dedicated to helping you shape your own unique path to success.

The college offers programs that meet your educational needs at every stage of your life. Transfer programs are available for those students looking to attend a four-year college or university, while our career education programs allow students to enter the workforce quickly, putting degrees or certificates to use right away. Residents can also enroll in developmental education programs, or take classes for professional development or personal enrichment.

Waubonsee works hard to make these high-quality educational programs accessible to every person in our district, offering classes at convenient times at locations close to home. The college has three campuses — Sugar Grove, Aurora and Copley — and also offers courses at 40 extension sites, as well as online. A fourth permanent campus will be constructed in Plano, as part of the school’s 2020 College Master Plan. The plan, which is the college’s blueprint for the future, also calls for a new downtown Aurora Campus and six building projects on the Sugar Grove Campus.
