Bloomingdale families with elementary school-age children are served by five elementary school districts: Bloomingdale District 13 in Bloomingdale, Marquardt District 15 in Glendale Heights, Community Consolidated District 93 in Carol Stream, Medinah District 11 and Keeneyville District 20. High school students attend Lake Park District 108’s Lake Park High School East campus (grades 9 and 10) on Medinah Road in Roselle, or the West campus (grades 11 and 12) on Bryn Mawr in Roselle; or Glenbard North (grades 9-12) on Kuhn Road in Carol Stream or Glenbard East (grades 9-12) in Lombard.
There are several private schools in and around Bloomingdale as well: St. Isidore (Bloomingdale), St. Matthew (Glendale Heights), St. Walter Catholic, and Trinity Lutheran (both in Roselle), and Medinah Christian (Medinah) schools for elementary-age students. Nearby Catholic high schools include Driscoll in Addison and St. Francis in Wheaton.
Among the universities and colleges located in the western suburbs is College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. COD is the largest community college in Illinois, enrolling more than 36,000 part and full-time students annually. COD has an off-campus learning center located in Bloomingdale, offering non-traditional “flexible learning,” as well as standard classroom courses.

The 35,000 square-foot Bloomingdale Public Library employs a staff of more than 60 to ensure no visit goes unfulfilled.
The library currently offers 128,000 items, including books for children and adults, DVDs, music items, computer software and audiovisual equipment. The library also offers 30 computers for patron use.
