About Calumet City

Recreational opportunities are in abundance through the many programs, activities and events for all ages sponsored by the Calumet Memorial Park District. There are a dozen movie theaters in town, large tracts of forest preserve areas for outdoor fun year-round, several challenging golf courses and a state-of-the-art public library. This racially and culturally diverse community offers numerous places of worship, including many beautiful and ornate churches built centuries ago.
