Fox River Grove Recreation
Recreational opportunities abound. Residents enjoy over 125 acres of parks, including Picnic Grove Park along the Fox River, which hosts the community’s annual fireworks celebration and boasts the area’s longest sledding hill. Thousands come each year to watch the Norge Winter and Summer Ski Jump Competitions. Fox Fest is held every summer and the Norge Ski Club hosts many events.
There are 14 parks within Fox River Grove, including Picnic Grove and Lions Park, which are located on the Fox River. The all volunteer Recreation Council runs programs in baseball, basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball, as well as events such as a 5K run, golf outing and a road rally. Other recreational activities include bowling, hiking, biking, boating, water-skiing and fishing on the Fox River. Winter brings ski jumping at Norge Ski Club, ice skating and sledding.
