contentsChannahon-Minooka IL Chamberads

A healthy and diversified number of businesses and industries have established operations in the Channahon-Minooka area. The incentives to relocating or expanding within this region are endless, with such features as the communities’ proximity to rail service, shipping ports and major interstate highways drawing in more and more companies each year.

Thanks in large part to the area’s active Chamber of Commerce, both commercial and industrial companies have thrived here. The Greater Channahon Minooka Area Chamber aims to support and encourage local business, while at the same time enhancing the standard of living for residents. The opportunities for growth and development are unlimited in Channahon and Minooka.

The Chamber works diligently to organize monthly lunches with keynote speakers, monthly after-hour networking events highlighting local businesses, useful seminars, greeter boxes for newcomers to the area and much more. The Chamber takes pride in sponsoring a number of community events for residents and visitors. The business-friendly organization supports economic policies and legislative actions that strengthen and increase overall growth and development of the two villages.

Ample opportunities for development exist for new and established businesses, with open sites available for commercial, industrial and business park uses. An excellent chance for new development can be pinpointed within Channahon’s 100-acre Town Center. Located at Route 6 and Bluff Road, the Town Center was created to be the lively, active and well-rounded heart of the community. Designed for the pedestrian, the Town Center’s master plan includes shops and offices, parks, entertainment, a farmers’ market, a bandstand on the town green, a government center, church, school, town museum and between 250 and 295 varied housing options.
