

The Three Rivers Public Library District serves both Channahon and Minooka – the library’s headquarters are located in Channahon, with a branch library situated within Minooka. Both locations are teeming with a substantial collection of books, magazines, art prints and movie/music/video games. Photocopying, lamination, fax and computer services are also available for public use. Special programs are planned for all ages, including story times for children and an online book club for teens and adults.
A quick trip to Joliet will bring residents to the Rialto Square Theatre, which plays host to a legion of events throughout the year, including theatrical productions, dance performances, musical concerts, bridal expos, comedy shows and travel cinema. There are plenty of educational opportunities to be found here as well, with the Rialto’s School of Arts, School Matinee Program and the Dorothy L. Mavrich Cultural Arts Endowment.
Sports enthusiasts don’t have to travel far to see a great game of baseball. The Joliet JackHammers are the minor league baseball favorites. The team plays at the modern Silver Cross Field in downtown Joliet, offering clean, family fun in a vibrant environment. In addition to the field, the ballpark features a hot tub patio deck, a tented picnic area and a children’s playground.
