The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is pleased to provide you with its “2006 Business Resource Guide & Membership Directory” — a compilation of the names and contact information of the Chamber’s 2,600 business members throughout the six-county Northeast Illinois region. To make the information as useful as possible, all member information is provided in two formats: alphabetically by member and by business category. I encourage you to use this Directory as a convenient tool for doing business with your fellow Chamber members.
One goal we can all agree on is the need to promote growth throughout the region. A healthy, growing business environment helps our economy and companies expand, it enables us to increase the number of jobs and incomes, it lays the foundation for the creation of new businesses and entrepreneurs and, in the end, it raises the quality of life for all of our citizens. We’re making good progress toward achieving this goal, as evidenced by the fact that Chicagoland was recently listed as one of the top large cities in Entrepreneur magazine’s annual listing of “Entrepreneurial Hot Cities” that support entrepreneurs and growing businesses.
To illustrate Entrepreneur magazine’s statement that Chicagoland is first among megalopolises when it comes to entrepreneurial activity, I asked a number of business leaders throughout the region to write “guest editorials” on the trends they see in their industries that will affect future growth in the region. I hope you will find their insights very informative and useful.
As Chairman of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, I believe we have every reason to be optimistic about the continued growth of our region! I am looking forward to working with you throughout the year.
Sincerely,
Robert A. Wislow
Chairman of the Board
