Forty-five minutes from the Loop in Chicago, Crestwood borders a huge forest preserve that covers three times the land area of the community, itself. Thus, residents live with nature at their doorstep and a great appreciation of their environment.

The retailing centers of Crestwood draw shoppers from all of the surrounding communities. Cicero Avenue, 135th Street, and the Midlothian turnpike are principal thoroughfares intersecting Crestwood. I-294, I-57, and I-80 are nearby.

There are four large shopping centers and more than 500 businesses in Crestwood and continued growth is emphasized. Rivercrest, a $150 million retail development, has opened its first two phases. Planned for 136 acres, Rivercrest will be a multi use development when completed. The shopping center currently has seven major stores as anchors. There is also a 12-screen cinema.
