Throughout its history, religion has played an important role in the town’s development and quality of life. When the early immigrants arrived in the area, one of their first concerns was to build churches. These parishes soon became the cornerstone of neighborhoods.

Today, spiritual belief and diversity continue to bring citizens together. All major denominations are represented and there are presently 30 places of worship.
