Expanding Horizons

For an active nightlife or just a daytime adventure, residents of Clarendon Hills need not go far. First Folio Shakespeare Festival stages professional productions of Shakespeare and other classic works at Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook. Western Springs Theatre provides a well-rounded variety of plays and performances, including acclaimed children’s theatre productions. Acting classes and a summer camp are also offered.

Additional theatrical performances are held at Drury Lane in Oak Brook, which attracts theatergoers with its top-notch, critically acclaimed theatrical productions staged
in a 971-seat proscenium-style theater.

The Clarendon Hills Public Library hosts many activities for all ages, including reading groups and book discussions. With a substantial collection of books, periodicals and audio materials, the Clarendon Hills library supports the education of all of its residents.

A variety of civic organizations and community festivals also keep residents busy throughout the year. Annual events such as Daisy Days and Dancin’ in the Streets bring community members and visitors together with family-style entertainment, food vendors and musical performances.

In addition, with the City of Chicago just a short drive or train ride away, there is always a world of opportunity for Clarendon Hills residents to experience.
