Building a Foundation

Countryside’s residential landscape presents a blend of old and new, all situated along quiet, tree-lined streets and meticulously maintained lawns and gardens. Neighbors know their neighbors; many families have lived in Countryside for two, three and even four generations. Cozy bungalows, handsome Victorians and Colonials, sprawling ranches, stately traditional brick and contemporary homes fill the area. Spacious lots (some 1/2-acre or more) are the norm. Condominiums, townhouses and apartment complexes are also available throughout the community.

Housing prices in this section of the Chicago Metro Region have increased substantially in the last 10 years. However, Countryside has remained more affordable by comparison. This includes an above average rate of appreciation (57 percent between 1994 and 2002), making Countryside an attractive investment while remaining within the budget of many homebuyers.
