Come Stay for Awhile

Several national chain and local hotels and motels offer accommodations (464 rooms) to visitors, while more than 40 restaurants serve a variety of dining options. Restaurants range from fast food chains (such as Quiznos and Wendy’s) to diverse ethnic eateries such as Mangia Mangia. Family-style diners and fine dining at white tablecloth restaurants round out the many options.

Area attractions bring in many visitors each year. CountryFest, an anniversary summer festival (to be held in 2005 from July 21 through 24), features four days of live entertainment, family events and attractions. Another local event is the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Antique Classic Custom Car & Cycle Show, which displayed 150 classic cars and cycles in 2004. Movies and Concerts in the Park from June-August are also provided through the city’s Recreation Department.
