Countryside is served by three school districts. LaGrange School District 105 includes Ideal School (in Countryside), Seventh Avenue School, Spring Avenue School and Gurrie Middle School (all in LaGrange). LaGrange Highlands Middle School is operated by LaGrange Highlands School District 106, and Lyons Township High School (LaGrange) is part of District 204.

Lyons Township High School (LTHS) is rich with history and tradition. Since 1888, the school has been a focal point in the community. The school’s century-old motto, Vita Plena, translates to “the quest for the fulfilling life.” LTHS is dedicated to meaningful teaching and learning and to fostering the full potential of each student. LTHS is composed of two campuses about one mile apart.
In addition to a comprehensive academic program, the school offers an extensive co-curricular program and some of the best school facilities in the country, including computers in each classroom, nationally recognized library; TV and radio stations; and newly renovated music, art and science areas.

Several community colleges, four-year colleges and universities are an easy commute from Countryside — including the College of DuPage (in Glen Ellyn); Midwestern University (Downers Grove); Elmhurst College; Benedictine University (Lisle); North Central College (Naperville); Wheaton College; Dominican University (River Forest) and Concordia University (Oak Park). In addition, the renowned Chicago institutions of Roosevelt University, University of Illinois-Chicago, DePaul, Loyola, Northwestern and Chicago State are within commuting distance.
