The City of Crest Hill

Government

The City of Crest Hill is currently guided by Mayor Nick E. Churnovic, and ten aldermen; two for each ward and two aldermen-at-large. Mayor Churnovic is the chief executive officer, and serves a four-year term. The aldermen serve four-year overlapping terms, and make legislative decisions. The city treasurer handles the city’s revenues, and the city clerk provides services such as vehicle registration, voter registration and notary services. In addition, the city has hired a City Administrator to handle the day-to-day operations of the city.

The city is protected and patrolled by Crest Hill’s Police Department, and Lockport Township Fire Department Station #2 serves Crest Hill’s emergency and non-emergency needs. For information regarding governmental services, call the City Clerk’s Office at (815)-741-5100.
