Crestwood borders a huge forest preserve that covers three times the land area of the community itself, enabling residents to live with nature at their doorsteps. The community is also a haven for senior citizens, with close-to-home amenities and services.

Many homes are in the classic Cape Cod and ranch styles, stretching over large plots of land with ample yard space. There are also subdivisions, apartment complexes and condominium communities.

The village works hard to ensure that residents enjoy the best possible quality of life. In addition to property tax refunds to homeowners, Crestwood has the lowest water rates in the area.
