Crestwood is home to Hawkinson Ford Field and the Windy City Thunderbolts, a professional minor league baseball team. Each season, fans come out to cheer on the local favorites as they compete against other teams in the Frontier League (a 12-team, independent professional baseball league in its 13th season).

Hawkinson Ford Field opened in 1999, and has a seating capacity of 3,500. With plenty of parking and excellent seating, it’s the perfect place to spend a warm summer evening. 

The Crestwood Public Library has a selection of more than 35,000 books ­ plus additional audio, video, magazine and reference materials. It also plans and hosts a number of reading programs and community activities.

From coffee shops to national chain restaurants to formal settings and banquet rooms, approximately 50 restaurants in the area serve up a variety of cuisines. Local favorites include JC’s Pub, House of Hughes and Louisa’s Pizza, where patrons can rely on good service and even better food.
