Crystal Lake Sports and Recreation
The Crystal Lake Park District operates 1,000 acres of parks, an active recreation program, a 238-acre lake, a golf learning center and an indoor/outdoor tennis facility. The city also owns an additional 700 acres to be used for future park and lake development.
Getting fit is easy at Health Bridge Fitness Center, MCC Fitness Center or the Holiday Inn Health Club.
During milder months, the McHenry County Prairie Trail is a well-traveled bike and hike path that runs 25.9 miles from Wisconsin south to the Kane County Fox River Trail. And in the summer, avid golfers will be spoiled by more than a dozen excellent public and private courses located throughout the region.
