Dixon is the center for a broad variety of medical and health related services. An impressive variety of specialists serve patients’ needs using state-of-the-art equipment and practices. There is a broad provider network as well for social services, psychiatry, mental health counseling and assistance, chiropractic care, outpatient dialysis, podiatry, orthopedics and obstetrics/gynecology.

Skilled intermediate, convalescent and nursing care facilities, assisted living, Hospice and Alzheimer's care are also available. Katherine Shaw Bethea (KSB) Hospital has been an active participant in the health of Dixon and surrounding communities for more than 110 years. KSB Hospital is an 80-bed acute care facility offering a variety of ancillary services, providing numerous programs to promote the overall health and wellness of its patients. KSB is a teaching hospital to the University of Illinois Rockford College of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program.

In addition to KSB, a number of primary care and multi-specialty group practices provide patients with routine healthcare, surgery and a broad range of medical specialties. The Dixon Clinic is affiliated with the Sterling Rock Falls Clinic, which has been providing healthcare to area residents since 1953. Nowcare, an immediate care facility, provides walk-in care and occupational medicine. Other specialty providers include Northern Illinois Cancer Treatment Center and Orthopedic Rehab Specialists of Dixon.
