Edwardsville/Glen Carbon is a homespun community that showcases plenty of entertainment. Young people enjoy Glen Carbon’s LaunchUSA Inc. computer gaming center, and Skate Corral Inc., in Glen Carbon, which has open skate time, roller hockey leagues and hosts birthday parties.

The Glen Carbon Jaycees actively promote events like the Kelly Miller Circus. Amateur sporting events at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville include track and field competition such as the NCAA II Outdoor National, the U.S. Junior Nationals and the Jackie Joyner-Kersee U.S. Open. SIUE also is a great place to enjoy the excitement of college football and basketball.

Fairmont Park Racetrack here in Madison County holds thoroughbred and harness racing.

Tri-City Speedway’s auto racing hosts the famous World of Outlaws sprint cars and the increasingly popular NASCAR Late Model All-Star Tour. Nearby Collinsville has a 12-acre interactive water park with an "endless" river, water slides and a lagoon.

Other attractions in the county include Wicks Pipe Organ Factory; Bilbrey Farms Exotic Animal Farm in Edwardsville; Mills Apple Farm; and the Old Six-Mile Museum.

A world of fun waits in St. Louis, only 18 miles away. Top entertainers, Broadway plays, professional sports teams, symphonies and dance groups perform regularly. Six Flags theme park, with its thrilling rides and attractions, is a popular spot for all ages.
