Anderson Hospital has been providing family-oriented, cost effective and quality care since 1977. A staff of more than 180 physicians and more than 600 healthcare professionals at the 130-bed, acute care facility offers a full-range of services.

The hospital recently made many improvements, expanding the Pavilion for Women, renovating the emergency room, and forming a partnership with Glennon Care Pediatrics Association. Other improvements include an upgraded computer system, new open MRI, an expanded GI Lab and new services such as a non-surgical kidney stone treatment and lithropsy.

Edwardsville Health Center performs diagnostic services like x-rays and blood tests right in town. The facility houses Heartland Healthcare, The Women’s Center of Metro East, Ltd., the Clinical Research Associates and services by pediatricians, internists, a cardiologist, and family practitioners. The Women’s Center features complete obstetrics, gynecology and infertility facilities.

Clinical Research conducts various medicinal trials. The center is associated with Edwardsville Ambulatory Surgery Center in Glen Carbon, which has outpatient surgery, including laser and endoscopic, as well as ophthamology and pain management service.

Staff Builders’ skilled nursing services, from bathing and meal preparation to chemotherapy and wound treatment, assists patients at home instead of the hospital.

More than 60 doctors and dentists practice in Edwardsville/Glen Carbon.
