The Village of Schiller Park Recreation Department provides many different "quality of life" leisure programs for people living and working in Schiller Park. An indoor recreation center has racquetball courts, a health club teen room, shower facilities and a full-size gymnasium. Six community parks provide several amenities including two lighted ball fields, lighted bocce ball courts, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, gazebos and several play structures. Kennedy Park is home to the Memorial Pool, an Olympic size outdoor pool, and sand volleyball. Two independent park districts, whose goal is one in the same, serve Franklin Park. They provide indoor and outdoor fun for the entire community. The Park District of Franklin Park sponsors year-round activities often held at any one of the following facilities: Centre at North Park or Franklin Park Community Center (contains an ice arena and swimming pool). The Veterans Park District offers similar programs and activities often held at the Gouin Park Field House, which includes a swimming pool & water slide.
