Arts and Entertainment

The City of Geneva and its neighboring communities are home to an abundance of top-notch cultural venues and activities.

The Dellora A. Norris Cultural Arts Center has offered high-quality arts and entertainment to the area for more than 30 years. This nonprofit facility, located in nearby St. Charles, is comprised of an art gallery and a 1,000-seat performing arts theater. The center features a calendar filled with an appealing array of dance, music, theater and children’s events.

St. Charles is also home to the Fox Valley Repertory Live Theater at Pheasant Run and the 79-seat Steel Beam Theatre. Both offer performance ranging from comedies to musicals and plays for all ages. The Noble Fool, a division of the Pheasant Run Resort, is the premier venue for comedic productions while the Steel Beam Theatre offers performances ranging from musicals and plays to improvisational comedy and children’s theater.

The Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin provides the western Chicago suburbs with a stellar line-up of entertainers each season. The center features a 1,200-seat theatre that hosts the Elgin Symphony Orchestra and has attracted a number of big name performers throughout the years.

DancEncounter Ltd., State Street Dance Studio, Geneva Underground Playhouse troupe, the downtown art galleries, as well as the active Cultural Arts Commission combine their forces to make Geneva and the greater Fox Valley area a worthy destination for those who enjoy the visual and performing arts.
