Dear Friends,
A community does not have to expand to grow. At the tender age of 175 years, Geneva is a community that has reached maturity with grace, style, substance and purpose.
We’ve welcomed new families, created exciting destinations on what was once farmland, maintained our historic downtown shopping district, preserved open space for the enjoyment of all, inspired new restaurants and entertainment spots, invited industries that employ our citizens and neighbors and above all engaged those who call Geneva home and those who visit to help make our little corner of the world special in many ways.
Geneva’s brand is intimately tied to its reputation. A place where people live, play and learn. A place defined by the many festivals and special events that celebrate the change of seasons and where traditions are sustained by each passing generation. Geneva is the quintessential “small town” that provides “big city” excitement for people young and old to enjoy and embrace.
On behalf of everyone who calls Geneva home, please accept my warmest welcome and my sincere wishes for a memorable time in our community.
My Best,
Kevin R. Burns, Mayor
