Based in the historic cupola-topped Civic Center, a Village Board, comprised of a Village President and six elected trustees, who serve four-year terms, governs the Village of Glen Ellyn. A full-time Village Administrator oversees the day-to-day running of the Village and a variety of appointed and volunteer commissioners keep an eye on preserving Glen Ellyn’s past while accommodating its future development. Open to the public, Village Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. A 50-member force of highly trained professional police officers and trained volunteer firefighters, quartered in two fire stations located withinVillage borders, serve and protect the community.
