In Green Oaks, the commercial focus is on relatively new and high-quality light industrial and service centers, with close proximity to regional rail transportation. Libertyville’s primary retail area occupies most of the downtown area and is characterized by turn-of-the-century historical buildings. Mundelein has several commercial areas, ranging from modern retail centers to intimate downtown storefronts. Vernon Hills also has a large retail base, including Westfield Hawthorn Shopping Centre, an enclosed, two-level regional shopping mall.
The GLMV area has hundreds of acres of improved industrial parkland available for development, as well as established industrial sections within each of the villages. There are also numerous office complexes, commercial areas, stores and restaurants in each of our towns.
