The Lake County Forest Preserve System includes more than 27,200 acres of prime woodlands, wetlands and prairie. Countless lakes and ponds dot the area, many stocked for excellent fishing. Boating at the Chain O’Lakes State Park or along the shores of Lake Michigan is a short drive away.
