Education
Excellent education for students of all ages is a primary interest within the GLMV communities. The area is well served by a number of public and private schools, all of which offer high-quality educational programs. High schools serving the GLMV area include Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills, Stevenson and Carmel High Schools. Separate elementary school districts, plus several parochial schools, provide students with top-notch learning experiences.
The challenge of higher education is well met with a diverse range of college and university opportunities, including College of Lake County, Columbia College of Missouri, DeVry University/Keller Graduate School of Management, Robert Morris University and the University of St. Mary of the Lake. GLMV residents can also easily reach the great universities in the Chicagoland area, most are within an hour’s drive.
