Location and Transportation
Great location and transportation are two important assets for a community, and the GLMV area has both. An extensive highway system offers rapid accessibility to both the metropolitan areas of Chicago and Milwaukee, as well as points throughout the county. O’Hare International Airport, General Mitchell International Airport and Midway Airport are within easy reach for GLMV residents. Several smaller regional airports offering extensive facilities for private and corporate aircraft also serve the area.
Each community has ready access to both freight and passenger rail services. Metra commuter trains make numerous stops in Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills. PACE buses also provide service.
