Grayslake offers its businesses and residents a convenient location to live and work while providing a hometown community atmosphere.

The Village of Grayslake uses the Mayor-Trustee form of government. The board is comprised of the Mayor, six Village Trustees and a Village Clerk. All officials are elected for 4-year terms. These eight elected officials and nine appointed officials manage Village services from the Village Hall. The Village Hall is the place to call for community or local government information and questions. The Village Board meets at 7:00 PM on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall. Citizens are encouraged to attend these meetings and actively participate in their government.
