The Grayslake community is within a fifteen mile radius of four excellent hospitals who offer patients skilled specialists and the best technology available. Condell Medical Center, Lake Forest Hospital, St. Therese Hospital, Victory Memorial Hospital and several of their satellite facilities in the Grayslake area provide convenient, quality care.

The Grayslake Fire Protection District currently has 50 state certified firefighters who serve all residents in the Grayslake area. Of the 50 firefighters, 32 are state licensed paramedics and the remaining 18 are state licensed Emergency Medical Technicians. A major service provided by the Grayslake Fire Department is ambulance service to the area hospitals.
