There are many ways to experience the Hanover Park community, from visiting area restaurants and pubs to attending one of the many festivals or events held throughout the year.

Local events include holiday-themed activities as well as picnics, and annual community garage sales. National Night Out is an annual event held by the Hanover Park Police Department, Fire Department and Park District. The community and the Police Department unite to promote partnership in crime fighting. Residents can join in the fun by turning on a porch light and participating in scheduled activities such as a DJ, clown, children’s games, arts/crafts, face painting, fire department vehicle tours, and free hot dogs courtesy of the Lions Club.

Even more entertainment can be found in surrounding areas, as well as the city of Chicago (which is just 45 minutes away).
