Chamber Welcome Letter

It is an extreme honor and pleasure to be your new President of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce. I have had the great pleasure of meeting and working with many of you during my last 11 years in the Hoffman Estates workforce.

Our Chamber of Commerce is “large enough to serve you and small enough to care.” I know that with the troubled times most of us are trying to cut costs. Some have decided that maybe dropping from the Chamber is the best thing. I say this is the time to get more involved and draw your line in the sand. Join the Chamber and get on one of our diverse committees. Hoffman Estates is a great place to live because you have chosen to invest your time and talents in this community to make it a better place for all of us. It is only what you make it and we need you.

We have such an awesome Village. It is extremely friendly, clean, safe and has lots of things to do. Our Village has 60 local parks, three golf courses and 4,080 acres of forest preserves. The Park District offers something for everyone from little ones to seniors. We have an outstanding school system with 14 elementary schools, two high schools and four higher education facilities. Hoffman Estates is home to over 800 businesses with a workforce of nearly 27,000 people.

All of this combined with award-winning healthcare, world-class shopping and the terrific activities, concerts and sporting events at the Sears Centre Arena makes this the perfect place to live, work, shop and play!

I will work to assure that all of the programs you have valued in the past remain the centerpiece of the Chamber. At the same time, I want to work with the Strategic Plan Task Force and the Board to initiate new programs that will provide even greater value to your Chamber membership. I am interested in your ideas about how we can improve our Chamber.

I hope to see all of you at our upcoming events and networking opportunities: Fashion Show, Fourth of July Parade, Business After Hours, AM Business Connection, Chit & Chat, Fishing Derby, Golf Outing, Fall Expo and many other groups.
