Located just 11 miles southwest of Chicago, Homer
Township is bordered by Lockport to the west, Orland Park to the
east, Lemont to the north and New Lenox to the south. Residents
and businesses enjoy taking advantage of easy access to Interstates
80, 55 and 355.
Plans have been made for a southern extension of
I-355 through the western half of Homer Township which will provide
a quick, convenient commute for those working in Chicago and the
northern, northwestern and western suburbs.
Chicagos OHare International and Midway
Airports are less than an hours drive away. Even closer is
Lewis Airport at Lewis University in Romeoville which serves smaller,
private and corporate air traffic.
Efficient passenger/commuter rail service to and
from downtown Chicago, and all points in-between, is provided by
Metra. Stations are located in the adjacent communities of Lockport,
Orland Park, Mokena, Lemont and New Lenox.
